New M34A on eixting GBPVR 1.4.7: GBPVR via NetworkBrowser: "Request cannot be proc"

First thanks to Martin who's work put me onto the M34A as a potential replacement for my MVP.
Bought and installed M34A as straight NMT (via usb wireless) and Shazam! it worked right out of the box. Now can view HD (from Torrent Episode Downloader) and previously ripped DVD's - v.happy with the M34A, thanks Martin.

Now... following the guide at http://forums.gbpvr.com//showthread.php?...2&p=337156 I have attempted installation of mvpmcx2.

EDIT - now that I am humbled by the fact that mvpmc2 was in fact working as advertised I will delete the content that so clearly demonstrates my limited brain power.

Using the direct share approach I only had to select the GB=PVR (first) link on the HTML page - as opposed to the second link (via Web Browser

Now, besides the gain of HD --- I now have the Live TV that I had hoped for. Thanks Martin!

And that means total, unfailing success when using anything Martin touches!

Thanks and glad you figured things out. Are you really able to do HD over wireless? I haven't had any luck, even at 720p.

Hope I didn't mislead you - the HD I was viewing on a 720p HD TV connected with HDMI cable to the M34A over wireless was of TED (Torrent Episode Downloader) files - not live HD TV.

It was at 720p over 802.11n Wifi USB Stick in the M24A (a TP-Link TL-WN821N $24.00 on Amazon) connecting to 802.11g router served from our PC (WinXP on a HP - AMd64 Athlon - w/ 1 Gb PC3200 memory).

Make sense?

But not all is perfect... some HD and some ripped DVD's only have sound for the first few seconds, sometimes there's stuttering of the picture &/or sound - but there's must be a light at the end of this tunnel.

Am heading toward an ATSC source for all TV programming (no more Comcast Cable so no STB's to tune stations) so I need to understand a lot more about what mix of hardware will get me there. Your favorable comments on the M34A were the first step - next I have to better understand How the Hauppauge HD-PVR you also mentioned favorably fits into that and what the appropriate tuner(s) would be with the above combination. Not sure I understand what the best 'hardware stack' is for doing live tv on two (2) TVs and recording/timeshifting TV programs as we do now with GB-PVR.

I do know that IF I could keep up with your posts I might stumble onto a good combo.

TomH, that is what I expected, I have the same TP Link (mine was $19) and even at 80211n, I wasn't satisfied with HD playback of any sort even with the PCH in the same room as the router. It's nice to see some people luck out.
