Are there any UK DVB-S users still getting the London version of ITV HD with AC3 audio?
I can get a picture but no audio using;

Once tuned the info button in GBPVR reports Mpeg1 audio, and there is no sound.

I am using ITV1 HD Granada and STV HD as alternatives - they both use mpeg audio. - but it would be good to have the option of AC3.

This seems to work for me. Remember the AC3 audio is never more than 2.0 stereo:

I have the opposite problem with STV HD. I can get audio fine in Live TV, but it doesn't work playing back a recording (even though the file does have the audio in it).

Thank you Elmo P, this works great. The only difference I can see is the NID value (whatever a NID is) and the (AC3) after the lanquage description. Not sure which fixed it but it works.
I typed my original string into the scan cache file using info from kingofsat http://en.kingofsat.net/tv-28.2E.php , but it did not give a NID so I just used '32' like most seem to use.

Inline; A:2369 is Mpeg audio - I thought with AD, but not sure.
I must admit I did not know the AC3 audio on ITV1 HD London is always 2-channel. I always use ffdhsow to decode the Dolby prologic from any stereo source, so I get surround sound whether it's mpeg or AC3. The exception to this is the odd occasion when the BBC broadcast 2-channel AC3 flagged as 5.1 audio, which is most annoying!
At least with ITV london I won't get the strange adverts they show on Granada or STV!

How many times can you misspell my username

I checked with ac3filter and it claimed the input it was getting was ac3, but I don't know for sure. My amp does all the decoding, so it beefs it up to surround sound anyway. As for STV HD, I keep meaning to try what you posted in that other thread, but I've never had the chance. I might just try the set you've posted here instead (after the snooker though ).

Oops - sorry! Even after reading your post I could not see the difference right away - for some reason I've always read your username the way I was spelling it!

Still no joy, even with those settings. Luxe (which hasn't worked for a while) is back with audio, but no picture (PDVD7 decoder for HD).

As for STV HD, I know it works fine in NPVR, so I'm not too fussed about it. I never watch it anyway (nor Luxe), but you always want everything to work regardless
