Analog Encoder issue

hcw_mcl2ae.ax is the mpeg-1 layer-2 audio encoder
hcw_mcm2ve.ax is the mpeg-2 video encoder

I will have to find a different version of WinTV as I have installed WinTV 7 CD 1.1b and searched the entire c: but not found those files.

Already tried that one (wintv7_cd_2.2d.exe). When it asks for the installation cd I search the entire c: for hcw_*.* and it doesn't find anything at all. The wintv7_cd_1.1b.exe completely installs and never asks for the installation cd. A search only finds the hcw_mcmpeg2mux.ax file. FYI, WMC and Cyberlink Power Director have no problem capturing. I know WMC saves in wtv format but Cyberlink saves as mpeg2. It appears I am out of luck. Time to admit defeat. Thanks for trying!

it seems I'll have to re-investigate how to get those files. in the meantime, check your pm.

I just checked, and found the wintv7 1.1 download linked in post 3 of the getting started sticky works again. if you download that file and follow the instructions, you will be able to get the files.

Got the files from another source, installed them and all is well. IT WORKS!!! Thanks to all for your patience, assistance and expertise!!!
