IMPORTANT: Possible issues with versions of Android pre v2.2

Thanks to feedback from agerdin and mvallevand testing this on Android v2.1. It looks like although the code detects the Android version and tries to adapt accordingly, there is something specific in the version of nDroid currently available in post #1 that means it will only work on Android v2.2 and above.

I've identified the issue and will post another version later when I get home from work.

I'm struggling to get this working. I'm running 2.2 FroYo on my phone, but whenever I launch the app it simply sits there downloading until eventually it timesout. Checking the logs I can see its failing authentication, but I've doubled checked that the password for the NEWA admin user is correct.

I'm NOT using the default admin user password, but it IS set correctly and I can log into the NPVR Web page OK. Has anyone had this working with a non default password ?

@marcuswar: As Agerdin pointed out, could you see my response to him in that thread and try setting the defaults first. If you can get it to work with the defaults then try going through the process again with your preferred username/password. Also, the thread Agerdin has linked to is the current support thread for the latest version which is a lot more stable than v1.0.0.
