Hey,

I'm having problems getting my Technisat Skystar 2 working with NPVR. I remember it had trouble with GBPVR but the <BDADisableStatusChecks>true</BDADisableStatusChecks> switch removed the problem.

This is however a little different, It manages so find the channels fine but when viewing it just freezes or plays the stream at about 0.1 fps. Refreshes that slow.

I have tried all previous versions of the Technisat Drivers with no luck. DVB in Mediaportal doesn't seem to work either so I just use the normal non BDA drivers and signal is strong and playback smooth unfortunately NPVR doesn't support the B2C2 directly... Sounds like it's something to do with BDA?

I'm using a fresh install of Windows XP SP3 with all updates, latest directx, drivers, and ffdshow... system specifications are as follows:

AMD Sempron 3200+ AM2
nForce 430 Chipset + nVidia 6150LE Integrated
nVidia Geforce 7900GT
2GB DDR2-800
80GB Primary & 120GB Secondary HDD's
Technisat Skystar 2 TV PCI
Microsoft eHome Receiver

Everything works flawlessly apart from the BDA card.

Any ideas?

Oddly mine has stopped working recently too. I found the latest drivers (4.6?) useless and gave half a green screen and about 0.1 fps. Using older drivers (4.5.x) it worked well but about 3 or 4 weeks ago it stopped working for some unknown reason (windows update?) and just gives a blank screen and fails to lock onto the signal (I reported the issue at the time and Sub kindly looked at the logs and confirmed lack of locking onto the signal). I've tried upgrading the drives and it does find the signal but gives the 0.1fps and going back to 4.5.x and I get the lack of signal issue. I've concluded it's useless and I may as well sling it out and get a replacement. Interested to know if anyone else has a working one. It's frustrating if there's nothing wrong with the hardware though.
