Main menu shortcut?

In my experience, that doesn't return to the main menu though. It just does the equivalent of hitting ESC?

In WebRadio I can 4 of five level deep and Esc pops a level, but the HandleCommand("Main Menu"); gets me to the main level immediately. It could be how plugins handle Esc. I don't know what HandleCommand("Back"); is defined to do.

That's what I would have thought, but it's not what I get.

If I'm at any level other than the top level, then I handle ESC myself (and move back up a level). If I'm at the top level, then I let NPVR handle it, and it returns me to the main menu. But if I fire a "Main Menu" or "Back" (either via HandleCommand or ButtonStripCallback) then it just acts as if ESC was pressed, with my plugin responding to the event and moving back up a (single) level.

Sounds like I'm not doing something quite right though...

Sorry sir you are right, I actually use PluginHelperFactory.GetPluginHelper().ActivateScreen(null); for Main

I know you've probably never tried it, but will this work if SubMenu is the main menu

How will this be implemented as a remote key? I checked KeyMappings and I guess this logic is hardcoded.

I've added the following to KeyMappings.xml:

<Key code="F9" command="MainMenu"/>

IIRC, the MCE remote sends F9 on VolDown, so that is available(?) already. I would suggest we reassign the "Go" key on the Hauppauge 45button remote to F9 then (instead of F11, which has no function in NPVR?!?). Any conflicts here?

Sub, was F9 added to the NMT/MVP interface? If not could you assign it the next keycode which I think is 0x3b, even if it seems like F9 might not be the best key.
