Hi,

I've just added Channel 4 HD to my channel list. I wanted to put it next to channel 4, early in the list, but all the channel numbers are taken up to around 50.

Unless I'm missing something, the only way to insert a channel near the start of the list is to manually increment every channel no. above it by 1 in order to create an empty spot. This can take a really long time with a large channel list.

Some kind of drag and drop solution, or even just the 'Up' and 'Down' buttons used for device priority would be helpful.

Second this.

Would also love a way of importing and exporting channel / transponder info via Excel or similar, such that we might start to have a community driven EPG / Channel numbering convention system. For example, if I set up all the channels for Freesat to their correct channel numbers, I could export the Excel, post on forum, and then other people could use it.

In the "channels" tab, there is nothing to stop you using the same channel number more than once.
i.e. you could have both ch4 and ch4HD with the same channel number and they would appear next to each other in the EPG.

That's a good idea. Just let the user import a text file, eg:

Code:
1 BBC One
2 BBC Two
3 ITV1
...

It was actually faster in GBPVR to do this sort of renaming because of the way the focus changed in the channels list, and I could usually insert a new channel and quickly renumber the rest of them without too much hassle, but it was still a bit annoying. And unfortunately a lot more clunky with NPVR.

Other options would be a GUI to move channels up or down, auto assign numbers from 1 upwards, and so on, but probably all require more programming effort than sub could be arsed with Big Grin
