v2.0.3 DVD playing trouble

Windows XP. I used to be able to watch a DVD no problem. Lately, it gives me issues. Stuttering picture, sound out of sync. I'm figuring the codecs are messed up.

How can I tell what codecs my PC is using for a DVD? I'm just trying to use the basic DVD option in NPVR.

They're selected on the Settings -> DVD screen (from memory).
