There is only one decoder listed there, the LAV Video Decoder, and it's known to not play nicely with NextPVR. The ViXS Trasncoder is not MPEG-2 Video Decoder, even though it advertises itself to Windows as one.
Maybe download and install ffdshow from http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow-...e/download. Make sure you enable MPEG2 during the install, because that codec is switched off by default.

I got the LAV top work. I went into formats and noticed MPEG 2 was unchecked. Finally have a picture. I already downloaded ffdshow but couldn't get it to work. If that's better I can still go that route. Is that better?

If LAV is working, you can just use that. LAV can be a unreliable when skipping in NextPVR.

you're probably right about that

I double checked and forgot, this PC is 32 bit, so that wasn't it.
I'm posting here just in case anyone else has this problem. After downloading ffdshow and running the installation, they show you a list of codecs you want to install and the MPEG was unchecked by default. I think that is why I couldn't get it to work the first time and it was small on a big screen TV and easy to miss. I have ffdshow up and running. Thank you for the help. I have been trying to get this last pc setup for a while. |
