I have upgraded from GB-PVR. I have a 16 x 9 Samsung CRT TV which connects to my Popcorn Hour via HDMI. I have tried every combination of settings on the "General" settings tab, but nothing affects the all-round overscan which means on the home screen the date is cut off as is the D of DVD and the E of Live. More annoyingly, it is very hard to read the titles of recordings. I am pretty sure I have the MAC address correct, and connect via the NPVR menu (rather than via Network Browser). I cannot change the picture size of the TV (to 4:3 for instance), the TV won't allow me to. I have done a clean install using NMTInstall.exe. Recordings, Audio, and Live TV all work fine. The only other anomaly is it says in Red "Warning: the DirectX runtime is not available on this machine, using software rendering instead" even though I tried to install from the microsoft dxwebsetup link in the sticky/Wiki and it says "already installed"
any ideas, before I zip the logs ?

I prefer seeing the logs before answering questions.

The zoom and offset settings on the General tab only relate to using NextPVR on a PC. On an NMT you pretty much need to add a new section in the config.xml for that NMT's MAC address, and tweak the x/y offset and width/height.

You didn't account for any overscan in config.xml Try this to start

Code:
<MAC-0006DC434C2B>
        <MVPSendIncrementalUpdates>true</MVPSendIncrementalUpdates>
        <MVPClientType>PCH2</MVPClientType>
        <MVPWidth>1200</MVPWidth>
        <MVPHeight>656</MVPHeight>
        <MVPOffsetX>40</MVPOffsetX>
        <MVPOffsetY>32</MVPOffsetY>
      </MAC-0006DC434C2B>

Thanks works perfectly now. My oversight.
