No. Absolutely not. I think if anyone was looking for a Windows based PVR solution, that equals MythTV on Linux or (apparently dearly departed SageTV) NextPVR just does it. In every category.

A screen for installing optional features could obviously be used for more than just plugins or skins written by the community.

Sorry, no. As I mentioned, this is the type of thing I'd need to do myself, and isnt well suited to be developed as a plugin.

I'm not sure what answer you're looking for, but I think I've been as clear as possible in my posts, ie Maybe in a future build, but I dont have time to do it right now. There is other higher priority stuff I need to spend my time on right now.

There is nothing 'de facto' in this world. So I would not expect a 'de facto' answer. We know the software is beyond pretty much rock solid. But never forget the little people that help to build on the core.

I believe an extension manger built into the UI is a vital part of where NextPVR can head. If you have not got the time, fair do's, but you appear to want to keep control of that aspect?
