When I start live-tv on a client I get this (well known) exception saying "Object reference not set to an instance of an object". If I clear away this message 3-4 times live-tv starts as normally. But the performance in live-tv on a client has decreased drastic in the latest release. Words in the dialog are often repeated while the picture freezes briefly.

I'll concur with that statement about live tv on a client. Having setup 2.2.6 less than an hour ago, I've had a client just stop twice in the middle of watching Live TV with a "NPVR Has Stopped Working..." message. Haven't had time to do any logging and likely won't for a few days at least. If it gets really bad, I'll revert versions.

It does seem to be a pure client issue, I reverted to 2.1.5 on the server but I'm still having the same issues on the client running 2.2.6.

smajor, I think you need to revert until sub fixes TS Reader. I just tried live tv on my client and HDPVR live crash within minutes. There are no dumps on my machine.

Live-tv on my client stops working on both dvb-c and dvb-t capturesources. Have not tried analog yet.

Thanks for the tip! I've replaced it with the version from 2.15 and it is playing. We'll see how stable it is. Of course, it's a version mismatch with the current NPVR, but as a quick temp fix it seems okay (for me).

The exception is gone with the new version of the TS reader, but client performance is still much poorer than in 2.1.5, and after watching live-tv for a while on the client NextPVR just dies and the video and audio freezes. Also changing channel causes a hang, I can see that it does change channel, but freezes right away after displaying the picture from the new channel.

I'll be away for the next 8 days (holiday on a Greek island Smile) so I won't be able to test anything before the end of next week.

I've had the channel change freeze even before 2.1.5. http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...erver-Woes
