Which is better? I see the HDHomerun has a 3 tuner option. I do max-out my 2 tuners sometimes. Or would 2 DCR-2650's be better? That way I could buy one now and one at a later date.
If you mean the HDHR Prime vs the DCR-2650, they are the same thing except that the 2650 has a USB connection.
If you meant the original HDHomeRun, they are two different things. The (original) HDHomeRun is a clear QAM tuner and the Prime/2650 is a CableCard tuner.
If you need more than 2 tuners and if you need to use a tuning adapter were you are for switched digital, then you might want go for the 3 tuner HDHR Prime. The tuning adapters work for multiple channels at a time, but I am not sure how one TA works with 2 DCR's. You might ask Hauppauge before you pull the trigger. It might be fine, but you should check.

Reading on the SageTV forums, there are comments that the Ceton's and Hauppauge's aren't available right away after boot/sleep. The Ceton's take up to 40s to init. The primes are always on/available.
