Hi,
I remember that there was a list for the old GBPVR --- but is there such a list for NextPvr ?? What I am looking for in particular is the status of DVB-S tuners ... especially DUAL tuner cards. TIA Dave

Right now, the NextPVR - Supported Capture Cards thread is the most "definitive" you'll find.
Try searching something like "tuner recommendation/advice dual dvb-s", browse the search results, and you'll probably find some opinions regarding which brands/models work consistently with NPVR.

yes, there are plenty of other tuners that work. but hauppauge remains the safe bet (which is not to say that hauppauge tuners never have any problems at all, nor that npvr support for hauppauge tuners is completely unconditional). particularly if you want QAM or DVB-S2 support; NPVR depends on tuners implementing QAM and DVB-S2 the 'hauppauge way'... many other tuners do, some don't.
