How do I keep the programming information (EPG info, channel number, timeline bar, etc.) from appearing at the bottom of the screen when I am paused using CTRL-Q - it is in the way and most annoying. Thank you.

Ctrl-B will hide the info bar.

That doesn't work. CTRL-Q ALWAYS brings up the bar and when in pause mode, CTRL-B has no effect. Plus, no matter the state of CTRL-B, moving the cursor back over NPVR redisplays the bar. What I need is an OFF state so I never see the bar unless I hit CTRL-B. How do I do that?

I found some settings in config.xml:

<OSDTimeoutInfo>1</OSDTimeoutInfo>
<OSDTimeoutInfoOnPause>1</OSDTimeoutInfoOnPause>
<OSDTimeoutStatus>1</OSDTimeoutStatus>
<OSDTimeoutTimeline>1</OSDTimeoutTimeline>

I set everything to 1 and it seems to act better. Would setting these to zero instead of 1 be better?

Also, when is the config.xml file read? Do I have to exit NPVR completely or just get out of LiveTV, then go back into it in order to update settings?

When the application starts. You'd probably need to exit out, edit the file, then restart the app.
