Man I'm growing to hate the way I have to interact with the NMT/MVP. Its painful.

Preliminary result: after just a restart of recording service (no reboot) multi-track playback solved too. The other problem was already solved and hasn't come back. Tomorrow after reboot I will test again and report.

Sorry to hear that for many reasons. This patch does fix the problem for the NMT.

I'm just sick of this one particular aspect, with the way stops works asynchrously, and I get a notification back about it later, and when I get stop message its either because of reaching the end of a file or because I earlier asked it to stop playback. A big pile of hours have been wasted with bugs in this area over the last few years.

I just wish the protocol had been different in this area.

I am happy to report that this patch does indeed fix the problem for the MVP too.

I can relate that, I too spend 100s of hours with GBPVR and mvpmc trying to avoid the inevitable crash between songs. PVRx2 improved things and NPVR has pretty good but I end up having to test ever PC change on the NMT and vice-verse.

I just wish the protocol had been different in this area.

If you want to enhance this in a future version I will update the NMT and MVP clients. Otherwise the logic is fairly basic. If you get a stop command on the media socket that you didn't initiate it is EOF.
