Dual monitors

I've been running my NPVR server on a 42" plasma but decided today that it would be useful to have 2 monitors so that i can do odds n ends on it while it is still being used as a TV. I also thought it might stop the occasional annoying "Update" pop-up i get from a couple of sources like my HP printer software because these should pop-up on the other screen.

So i've added a small monitor which is now the primary display and i'm using the Plasma as the secondary.

I've ticked the box in the NPVR setup to start it on a second monitor so now, when i start NPVR is comes up correctly on the Plasma. All is ok until i try to watch something and then it all jumps back to the primary monitor.

I'm guessing others must do this. Any pointers?

My choice to start on secondary monitor is greyed out but I guess that's because I don't have it set up as a client.

It looks like the problem is with VMR9 FSE. I've changed it to VMR9 Custom and it stays on the second monitor. The other issue though is that the Hauppauge remote sends the command to the active window so if i have NPVR on monitor 2 and open Notepad on Monitor 1, the remote seems to trigger some basic Windows functions rather than controlling NPVR.
