First time user

Hi,

Just discovered gb-pvr and have to say pretty impressed.

Managed to get the following working
2 x Blackgold GDI (bda driver) simultaneosly. one records the other whatc program

1 x Twinhan DVB-s Card again with BDA driver (simultaneosly with the 2 DVB-t cards)
The mapping between xml epg and channel is one of the best around, pretty straight forward and works quite well.

Main strenght are hte stability of this software, pretty simple but functional.

One problem I currently have is that I can't cancel a scheduled recording once it has started. Anyone with the same problem?

Secondly I would love to see this program improved in its gui.

Is it a question of you're not sure how, or you get an error when you try?

how: Go to Recordings, Pending, Click on the program (it will be at the top & show a status of "Recording" in red), click Cancel.

If there's an error, post the details here. Maybe someone has seen it before.

yes it's an erro, even if a click cancel it won't stop.
If I look at the folder with the current recording there is the file name but the size is zero.
just one thought. during setup gb-pvr complains about the intervideo and/or cyberlink multiplexer filter. I installed both windvd and powerdvd but graphedit still doesn't show any such multiplexer filter. A google search didn't help me either in finding the blo..dy filters. Quick serach in this forum or the wiki wasn't helpful either about where/how to get them. Logically I have to think that without multiplexer gbpvr is unable to create the mpg file and that's probably why is not canceling the recording.
