Lately whenever I try to play a recording, I get this error...

"PVRX2 has encountered a user-defined breakpoint."

PVRX2 then proceeds to crash. And for some reason, all of my scheduled and recurring recordings have been cleared out. MARVELOUS!!! What happened? Log attached.

That log does show you playing a recording. It shows you playing a .mp4 file. Or are you converting your recordings to .mp4 files? Either way, the problem seems to be with whatever decoders your machine is choosing for playing .mp4 files. GBPVR doesnt play any active role in playback of .mp4 files. It just asks Windows to play the file, so the decoder settings in GBPVR are not relevent to this file type.

Regarding the missing recordings - the app will auto remove recordings from the database if they're not found on disk. This intended as a tidy up feature for people that manually delete their recordings in Windows Explorer, but can trip people up that have moved their recordings to a different directory or drive, or have them on a network or removable driver and have started the app with that drive not connected. There are some utilities in the wiki for recreating your recordings in the database based on the files on disk.

I was going to quote the config.xml tag to prevent this behaviour, but re-reading the OP, it was Scheduled and Recurring recordings going missing rather than existing ones.???

I have MCEBuddy convert my completed .MPG recordings to .MP4 files. This has worked fine for a long time now. I haven't made any software changes I am aware of. I am not sure why things have not wanted to not play anymore.

My recording directory and location have not changed. I looked at the utilities page, but I see nothing there that can recover recurring recordings. Things that have already recorded are still listed, but the recurring lost has gone blank.

Yes the existing ones are perfectly fine. But for whatever reason, the recurring list has gone blank. It is really going to suck if I have to re-add them all as GBPVR will essentially think it is starting all over again on those.

I'm sure you have made some changes, but probably just started happening. I'm pretty sure if you stop it converting your recordings to .mp4, you'll find the original recordings still play.

Unfortunatley with .mp4 files there isnt too much help I can give you - the app just askes Windows to choose the decoders and take care of playback.

You'll be able to see what decoder's its using by running GraphEdit and selecting the 'render media file' menu option, and selecting one of your .mp4 files.

To be honest, I've got no ideas on that one. I havnt seen any reports of those same symptoms over the years. Maybe some sort of database corruption?
