Maybe you could try tweaking.com's windows all in one repair utility to repair the winsock & DNS cache + Windows Firewall, Proxie settings etc Sometimes uninstalling a firewall can be messy - I seem to remember having problems after uninstalling a previous version of Commodo.
It's not an overly complicated system - it's more - overly simple operatives

Finally figured this out. Using Comodo's DNS servers was the problem for some reason.
