EPG update stopped working after transmitter change

We are in range of 2 transmitters and after the roof aerial come loose I changed to a loft aerial pointing at a different transmitter. So I removed the devices and re scanned. Now though I notice the EPG isn't updateing, auto update fails and when I click Channels > Update EPG a box opens which reads "checking for any dvb/atsc listings" for a few seconds then closes. The EPG update worked before I changed transmitter, what could be causing this?

The EPG source is set to dvb/atsc epg.

Did you delete all the old channels before rescanning - if not the old frequencies will still be there and being used for the epg update.
It's not an overly complicated system - it's more - overly simple operatives  Huh

I removed the device, right click > delete device. Is that the same thing?

I may be wrong but I think you have to go into the channel list and delete all the channels that have changed frequencies - in your case all of them - then rescan.
That is what I do every time they move frequencies here.

The channel list was empty when I readded the device, do I still need to delete all channels and rescan? I presumed the channels were deleted with the device, is that not the case?

To pick up all channels I had to scan offsets and some of them didn't have the correct channel number so I had to change those for a lot of channels, would that be because I didn't delete the channels before deleting the device?

Probably yes. The list in Settings->Channels is not emptied when you delete a device or all of one device's channels, so the safest is to delete all channels in the Channels setting.

OK cheers, a program has just failed to record (folder was created but not the file) so hopefully doing it properly will fix that too.
