I've tried most of those mentioned, and used Auslogics for a long time, but I recently stumbled upon O&O defrag, which looks really good, and there is a free version.
It can use the data created by Windows prefetch (layout.ini), which means that system files are arranged on the disk in the order that they are accessed on boot. It can also defrag in the background / when the PC is idle.
