Hi,

I'm having issues with the streaming URL produced from the web epg
I can stream if I manually enter the URL - http://myipaddress:8866/live?channel=###
That will work for VLC quite happily

The URl from the epg is http://myipaddress:8866/streamer/vlc/str...hannel=###
That results in a stream error -- delete the first part of the URL and it works fine!

Is there any way I can set the server to modify the URL when you click on "watch now" from the browser epg?

Streaming on nDroid to an android handset from it's epg works fine.

I'm using nextpvr v 2.5.5 on windows 7 for the server
Streaming to Winxp running chrome 21 and also tested on IE 8

Thanks

What version of VLC to you have installed on your client.....you need to have VLC installed on the client and install the browser plugins. I am on 2.0.2 and it is working fine.

I'm using VLC 2.0.3 with plugins installed for both IE and chrome
As I say, even if I manually enter the streaming IP address
"http://myipaddress:8866/streamer/vlc/stream.aspx?url=http://myipaddress:8866/live?channel=1"

directly into VLC (voiding any browser plug in), the stream still fails.
Only if i remove the ""http://myipaddress:8866/streamer/vlc/stream.aspx?url=" section, will the stream work

Is there anything you your web.log file?

Post a screen shot of what you see in the pop-up stream.aspx page comes up. (you aren't blocking pop-ups are you?)

The first part of the URL for live tv points to the streamer page (stream.aspx). The ? is a querystring that is being passed into the stream.aspx page which the page then grabs (or should) and sets the source for the plugin to be that location. You then just need to hit the play key and it should start.

lol - despite making no changes, doing nothing differently, I went to do the screen shot, waited for the usual error and blow me down if the damn thing worked!
