Hi,

I first installed NPVR a couple of weeks ago but had a little trouble with importing an xmltv guide, I finally sorted this (but only mapped a couple of channels) and all worked fine.

A few days ago I finally decided to set up all the channels, after doing so I get a .net error:

Unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue.

Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection.
Parameter name: index.

If I then click continue, the NPVR window opens and the same error appears with 'nPVR' as the title of the error.
After this it doesn't seem to matter how many times I click continue, the only thing I can do is use task manager to close npvr.

So far I have tried:
Uninstalling, re-booting & re-installing
Uninstalling, Deleting the tvguide.xml file, re-booting & re-installing

but to no avail!

From what (limited) I saw of NPVR I liked what I saw, so please can anyone give me any ideas about how I can fix this.

I am using Windows7 Pro with an AMD 64 bit processor and 8Gb of ram.

Log file attached.

btw I am using UK Freesat and have a Hauppage DVB-S PCI card and a Hauppage DVB-S2 PCI card.

One thing I noticed in the log is that the first channels found BBC1 NW, BBC2 England, etc are the channels that I had previously set up - so clearly something has not uninstalled.

all your errors are coming from TV Listings. Remove that plugin, and see if things are working with the default plugins. you should also post the NRecord.log too next time (or when in doubt, just .zip and post them all).

johnsonx42 - thanks for the help!

One question though, how can I disable the plugin - I cant start npvr. Is there a config or ini file that I can edit to remove it? I have tried deleting the .xml file (created by XMLTV GUI).

Thanks again,

After reading your post about plugins I looked a little further and noticed that the uninstall doesn't remove c:\users\public\npvr - which contains a plugins folder. So I uninstalled, deleted this directory and rebooted. After another re-install it now works as a clean install.

Once I have managed to complete the setup I will add another post here in case this is of any help to anyone in the future.

glad you have things working. Just for the record, I'm not saying TV Listings is a bad plugin; many people use it and I have it installed myself with no problems. It's just a case of "first things first" - is this an NPVR problem or just a TV Listings problem? If it does turn out something in your config was making TV Listings barf, then you'll want to post in alibert's forum (http://forums.gbpvr.com/forumdisplay.php?45-TV-Listings)

For completeness, I have used Birtles for xmltv and TV Listings in the UK for years without incident ...
