Tv Tuner hangs or freezes

Yes, i do have them installed...after getting tired of not being able to solve it, i decide to try on another system that i had laying around, its an intel atom mini htpc that i have with no use, i made a fresh install of windows 7, but this time 32bit home premium version, and then install NPVR, and still there is the same issue.

on both cases the encoders were installed, in fact, remember that it tunes and plays live tv the first time, other proof, is that without the encoders, NPVR will not recognize the tuner as a device and will not appear on the device section...

something is making that after the first use, the card dissappears from the system or something...

Perhaps you should post logs from a "first run" in case it provides any clue to what happened.

I really don't know what to make of this. I agree that softpvr encoders wasn't the problem, Reddwarf was barking up the wrong tree there. That you installed it in a different system with 32-bit windows and had the exact same problem would seem to suggest a problem with NextPVR itself, but no one else is having such a problem (and yes, there are other users still using PVR-150's). So that seems to leave a problem with the card itself; have you verified that the card works multiple times with software such as Windows Media Center or WinTV?

The only other thing I can think of is that it's having a problem with one of the non-english pin names, but in every other case that issue has prevented the card from working at all. I don't see how it can work once, then fail because of that. Only sub would know for sure if that was a possible avenue of failure, and he hasn't said so.

I'm out of ideas at this point.

After i made the clean install, i also installed media portal, and their software works ok with the tuner, the problem relays on the extender (atv2) thats buffering a lot, thats why i was trying to give it a chance to NPVR, cause at the first tune it works better...

Still, I'd like to see the logs from a first run when it works. You did not answer the question if it works with Wintv7? And did you have MP installed before npvr? If so, did you shut down MP's tv-server?

the logs are all around this post, its always the same behavior so there is no change from what i posted earlier...

MP was stopped all services before installing NPVR
