Ubuntu 12.10 XBMC NPVR plugin not recognized

Hello,

I recently installed Ubuntu 12.10 64bit on my laptop for grins. Added XBMC from the regular repository and have tried every NPVR plugin for linux listed on the site http://www.dotnetdevelopers.net/XBMC/xbmcpvr.html. When I try to install from zip in XBMC it says the addon doesn't have the correct structure.

Any ideas how to get the plugin to install?

Where did you install xbmc from ? If you did it from normal ubuntu repository I'm afraid it's to "old", you need those "unstable" frodo versions.

Use this PPA for vanilla xbmc nightly version https://launchpad.net/~nathan-renniewald...c-nightly/

Or this special branch for "new" ATi cards https://launchpad.net/~wsnipex/+archive/...ba-testing

Please note though that both of these comes with version 1.0.0.0 of NPVR plugin, and updateting to 1.0.1.0 plugin is a little trivial since install from zip doesn't work for some reason, you manually have to unzip and install the plugin file to /usr/lib/xbmc/addons/pvr.nextpvr and the extra files to /usr/share/xbmc/addons/pvr.nextpvr (you could try to install from zip, but hasn't worked for me)
