Firefly Remote Configuration

I have not been able to find CURRENT information about configuring my Firefly remote. With only the standard KeyMappings.xml the remote generally seems to work. I have NPVR 2.5.9R1. Is there something more that I need to do ? I am attempting to put my Recurring Recordings in priority order and wiki specifies the skip/repeat buttons but those keys are not defined in KeyMappings.xml.

You can't sort or change priority of Recurring Recordings. They're always listed in priority order. Being able to change priority is on sub's to-do list.

whoever put that in the wiki probably just copied it from the old GB-PVR wiki. it's never been possible to change recurring recording priority in NPVR.

(another dirty little secret is that the Conflict list will never show any recording conflicts... also on the to-do list).

I have used the remove in some more situations. Up, Down, Right, Left, OK and exit work when navigating the TV Guide and Recording but nothing seems to work during recording playback.

Is it possible to modify the priority by exporting the recurring recording schedule into the xml file and editing the xml file before importing back?

Yes, and I have done something like that - during the Olympics I wanted the Olympics recorded regardless of whatever else was on, so I deleted all the current recurring recordings, set the Olympics recording, then imported the recurringrecording.xml and all my other recordings came in after the Olympics recording. You can also just directly edit the NPVR.db3 file using SQLite Spy or another SQLite editor (there's a firefox plugin others have praised).
