Keyboard not working in search

After putting it off for a long time I just upgraded from GBPVR to NPVR. So far I think I've got it mostly working and love it. One odd thing... when I go to search, I can't type in a show name using the keyboard. I can only use the remote to select a letter of the alphabet and then scroll through the list of titles. Am I missing something? I'm assuming it's possible to type in a show name like in GBPVR.

The built-in search is meant only for use with a remote. Use mvallevand's SearchLite plugin if you want to use the keyboard.
