Hi all, I am sure that I am missing something simple here but...

I have installed XBMC 12.0 Frodo Beta on both a W7 and a Linux machine (both are clients), along with the latest nextPVR add-on and the required patch. The plug-in shows as enabled ok, and I have 'Live TV' on the homescreen, but whenever I select it (or any of the sub-menus - TV Channels, etc), I get the error message "No PVR Clients Have Been Started Yet". It doesn't matter how long I leave it, and I get the same error on both the W7 box and the Linux netbook. NextPVR works fine with the W7 machine as a client, so I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Any advice?

Hey Groover,
Was it a clean install or did you upgrade from an older version? I have had this a few times in the past, the first thing I do is rename the user folder to XBMC_Old (or whatever you like) and then reinstall the add-on and reconfigure. That usually clears it up...

Also, I haven't tried the Frodo Beta specifically, but I know the latest nightly works okay.

It was a clean install with the Frodo beta. I'll try the nightly build and see if that works. Thanks for the idea; I'll report back.

Tried the most recent nightly build with the same results, so reinstalled the Frodo beta, changed xbmc to xbmc_old and reinstalled the add-in. Voila, it works! Thanks for the tip. Have to say that I am impressed and can't wait to see the final Frodo release with the NextPVR add-on in the repo.

Thanks again.
