NPVR Plug-in to imediately launch an application

So all you clever people, has anybody built a plug-in that could be used to immediately launch another application directly from the Main menu? i'm looking for something like "Programs" but for a single application and without bringing up a new, different screen first.

Programs is great but I only want to launch one application (ie with Iplayer) so it would be really neat if I could just have an iPlayer option on the main menu.

The alternative, which would also be really neat would be to get Programs modified so that it looks like a sub-menu in exactly the same style as the main menu.

Any clever ideas?

Just had a play with the Programs skin and already have something looking very similar to the main menu. Will post when finished.

Ok so I've managed to do both. i've skinned Programs to look like Main Menu and i've also realised you can add custom tasks to the main menu.

All i need to do know is comfigure my remote to work with iplayer and job done :-)

You could do this with just a normal main menu (or SubMenu plugin) custom task. That'll give you an entry called 'whatever' that when selected will launch the program of your choice (with arguments too if needed).

And then program a key on your remote to kill the program, and exit back to NPVR (use mceremotemapper).
