live tv buffer slipseconds and registry question

I created a dword entry with a value of 7200 under hklm,software,npvr . the setting is ignored. also i noticed that in the registry there was not even an entry for npvr, i had to create it. that leads me to believe no registry entries were created upon the install. is this a permissions issue of some kind ?

i changed permissions on the key to 'everyone' but still no change in the buffer files, i get 3 files of 6:40 seconds each and then they rotate to delete the earliest which is the default behavior.

any help appreciated

The registry entry will need to exist or NextPVR doesn't run. Perhaps you are forgetting to look for the Wow6432Node on a 64 bit OS?

Yes you were right, i created the key there and it is working. Thanks for the tip.
