npvr with ceton - bright house - tv guide/channel setup

Are there any other options? My only goal is to play live tv and recording from anywhere in the house [e.g. xbmc] and that's why i need a solid back end instead of relying on wmc which sucks for front end support.

On a side note, i tried playing the recorded files on XBMC and it crashed my XBMC on both ATV & my 2 laptops. Something is not right with the nextpvr addon. In all instances i will get some audio (on laptop i got audio but no video et all and then XBMC hanged after few minutes). At this point, i'm more worried about solving my first issue which is to get all the channels and records. I think playing on xbmc will be another ball game as this addon is new.

NextPVR is definitely a solid backend and has reasonably stable clients. Using XBMC playing for back mpeg-ts recordings makes the system a bit weaker, and the ATV2 weaker still. I don't want to comment on the crashing until I get that sample.

I am uploading new logs by increasing logging to verbose on sagedct. I removed 3 out of 4 tuners and started with empty db. Imported channels again from schedule direct [i disabled the ppv and other standard channels that i don't watch to keep channel list to minimum]. overall trying to start small but same results. i also tried to used h.264 by selecting that option when setting up device but same results.

I also tried pbda capture but it seems to hang nextpvr when i click on watch for working/non-working channels. I had to disable it accordingly.
