Well, I was really excited to try all of this since channel changing is high priority for continued WAF

I upgraded XBMC with margro's build from the link in the first post of this thread (12.1) [went fine]

I also went ahead and upgraded NPVR to 2.6.2 [no problems there]

Am I the only one who can't update the XBMC addon?

When I try downloading the zip and use the XBMC addon menu to "Install from zip file" I get the following message:
"Add-on does not have the correct structure"

Was I supposed to install the addon first (in 12.0)?

That's not an addon zip file. You need to extract the dll and replace the current file, respecting UAC too.
