EPG bug with description

Not sure if this is a xbmc bug or plugin bug.

This is what happens, I get my epg from dvb.

Normally its "program title"+"program description"+"program genre"

But some shows are missing the "program description" typical shows like "the news" etc..

What happens is this is displayed normal in NPVR and X-Newa with just the program name and genre, but in xbmc all programs magically has "program description", how is this solved you ask? Well XBMC just puts inn some random ?? program discription, my guess, it uses last read program description when importing.

Am I the only one with this issue, or did I describe it poorly ?

Can't say I've noticed it before. It's probably an XBMC bug, but if you can zip and attach your npvr.db3, and let me know some examples shows, I can try to reproduce it here.

I checked my EPG and when the description isn't present ie. <description></description> in the transmitted data, xbmc shows the description data from the last preceding title that has a description. Looking at the source, description is not initialized.

If you're on a Windows version of XBMC, you could try this patch and let me know if it helps.

No, it still duplicates the previous value.

Does the web.log supplying the epg entries show duplicate descriptions for these shows?

No but that got me thinking and I checked what the xbmc database epg7 had. The descriptions were also duplicated in the following rows so I reset the database and then on the next load they were empty, so you did squash it after all.
