Black screen, decoder issue?

I have been having some issues with NPVR on my client. Finally I got time to uninstall and reinstall (including pre-requisites).

Now, when I want to play back a HD recording I get no image and no sound (I do on analog recordings). I think it's a decoder issue.

EDIT: I can see the HD recording through the XBMC plugin. And re-registering filters doesn't help.

From your description it almost certainly is a decoder issue.

Have you tried other H.264 decoders?

This also requires am upgrade to 2.6.2

Upgraded to 2.6.2 and installed the patch. It works!
Indeed, in trying to solve the problems I had before, at 1 point I did install 2.6.2. After that the old problem was gone, but no sound and video on HD signal anymore.
