watching in progress recordings

is it possible to watch an in progress recording, from the beginning, in xbmc, as you can in npvr?

Yes, I've been doing it for a couple months. At the beginning I had some issues with skipping, but I haven't lately. Not sure if it is because of updates to XBMC (12.2) or NPVR (2.6.2). The only oddity you will notice is that the recording lenth on the time line doesn't count up as the recording proceeds.

Really Jemmy? I had the opposite issue...I was running 2.5.9R2 with Frodo 12...when could watch nearly all in progress recordings....however after updating to 2.6.2/Frodo 12.2 I can no longer do so...currently I am using X-NEWA to watch all in-progress recordings which is working perfectly...actually I am using X-NEWA to watch all recordings (in-progress or not) since I have ComSkip it's nice to have the commercials skipped also which only possible at the moment with X-NEWA...

I had problems in XBMC 12.1 with in-progress recordings using the NPVR plugin. When playback began, the end-time would not change and the playback would stop when that time was reached. I haven't tried it with 12.2, as I've been using X-NEWA for in-progress recordings, which works really well.

I had similar issues 'airberger' but not lately. The end time still doesn't count up, but gets 'pushed' up once the current viewing point reaches and goes past that time. I really have had no issues lately. (knock on wood). I've never tried x-newa, how do they compare?

Playing from the video libraries should work however the PVR interface using http still doesn't afaik

Yes, I didn't mention that all in progress recordings that I watch are through the 'Videos' library not the 'Live TV'.
