I need to empty the EPG a lot because otherwise some channels get screwed with overlapped shows during the EPG update rendering it useless.
Is there any way to schedule the empty EPG?

there's probably a command line for it - "NextPVR.exe --emptyepg" or something like that. you could schedule that with windows task scheduler.

The application already fully empties the EPG when updating the EPG.

If you're getting overlapped shows, try unticking the "update dvb epg during live tv" setting the Settings->Misc screen, then do one more 'empty epg' followed by 'update epg'. Hopefuily you wont see the problem again.
