UJB,

Now I have port forwarding like this: public port 443->LAN port 443 and public port 80->LAN port 8866. NEWA configured at 8866 and the stream at 443.
I can access NEWA interface again. Some problems streaming:

Maybe you could have a look at the web.log I attached? I attempted to stream "brave.mpg" 3x, vlc showed only black screen, then at 0.39 I streamed from the server (via external IP) "barbapapa deel 1" which was streamed and after that everything streams normal, also to here (holiday).

Wim

EDIT1: is "View Live" streaming unencrypted?
EDIT2: @UJB, could you login to my NEWA please to see if it works from your side?

UJB,

Holidays are over. Back home I saw that my ISP changed some things so I had to reset my router. That was the reason I got no connection anymore.
The reason for the change is that I now have 20 down, 2 up (that's a lot better than I had and for about the same price). I had a lot of issues, but I know it works now even with low download speeds.

Still 1 question: is "view live" streaming unencrypted?

Thanks for all the help.

Wim

In NEWA, TV Guide, there are 2 ways to see live tv:
1. click on a show, "stream now"
2. click on "view live".

The first streams just like a video stream (from Video Library), you see menu "streamer" with all settings, no buffering with your settings
the second doesn't show menu "streamer" and I got a lot of buffering from my holiday destination. I thought there may be no conversion of the stream.

Correct....

#1 uses VLC transcoding to steam.
#2 uses the built in stream for NPVR....which is not transcoded at all.....so there would be lots of buffering on a slow connection.
