I was really looking forward to a more versatile PVR package to replace my Beyond TV, but I just can't get NextPVR to run.
I have a Silicon Dust HD Homerun (not prime) dual tuner box, the nPVR settings/devices/scan shows 575 Channels. I would expect that I should be able to open "Live TV" at this point, butwhenever I do this, I get a "Not Responding" from Windows. Have I missed a step?

Log files are attached - help would be greatly appreciated.

A couple of things:

- It looks like you don't have an MPEG2 decoder selected on the Settings->Decoders screen.

- If it's still not going after fixing your decoders, then you'll probably also need to make sure your firewall software has exceptions for nextpvr.exe, nrecord.exe and ndigitalhost.exe. Most HDHR users find they need to add these before things work.

you'll also be needing an AC3 audio decoder. I use AC3Filter (http://ac3filter.net - you can just use the lite package).

What version of Windows are you running? If it's Windows 7, then AC3Filter should be all you need. But if it's Windows 8, then you quite possibly don't have an MPEG2 Video decoder to select and should probably install the SAF6 decoder pack: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?50227

[Edit] What provider has 575 Clear QAM channels? If you're trying to use devices of type "HDHR", you should disable those and use only devices of type "QAM" (and "ATSC" if you're also using an antenna).
