I saw luke's post on the MB thread but hadn't had time to look at the link (just spent 5 @%$#^& hours trying to export a new version of nDroid TE only to find there's a bug in the latest build tools - aaargh).

As I said in my last post I expect there'll be a whole load of "cast enabled" apps coming along in the near future.

I've got code based on the preview SDK which will integrate with nDroid and I'm hoping using the VLCService in NEWA I'll be able to get Chromecast support in (it already works for music files and MP4 video). The release version of the SDK adds a few new ways of doing things though so I need to get down to reading through the docs and sample code.

Cheers,
Brian

I was excited when everything arrived. The setup was simple for both the Almond and Chromecast. Iam very pleased with Almond. We recently shut off TV/Internet service so I'm using the Almond to pick up our neighbors Wifi network (with permission of course). It works great. The signal and speed is just as strong throughout our house. Would give the Almond 5 stars.

This seems like it may be more promising in regards to possibility of extending NPVR to a casting stick....
