LiveTV Buffer not clearing when stopping playback

That's really up to the XBMC development team. All sub can do is submit the patches. It's up to the XBMC devs as to when/if those patches are ever added to the main code.

Yes, but it probably wont happen anytime soon - the last changes were submitted about six months ago and it sounds like we're still waiting for them to be included by the XBMC powers that be.

Gotham was already moving when 12.2 was forked so I can't imagine them including the 12.3 changes automatically. The PVR API has changed so pvr.nextpvr is out of sync anyway. To make thing worse the feature freeze is 2 weeks away and the freeze for all PR is Dec 1st, so all changes have to for new features probably have just a once of back and forth with opdenkamp.

Alright so the new DLL seems to be quite draconian in terms of removing timeshift files - to the point where timeshift hardly works!
But at least my hard drive isn't filling up, which was my main concern.

I was wrong there is a 12.3 coming http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=176721 and it seems to have 1.6.5 with timeshift and epg colouring
