Kodi NextPVR playback error "Playback Failed"

To anyone willing to help... here is my setup and what I have done so far:

* NextPVR backend latest version installed on a Raspberry Pi 4 running bullseye with latest updates
* Hauppauge WinTV-dualHD directly connected to the Pi's USB 2 port
* All channels have been scanned on both tuners
* Schedules Direct is working and updating the EPG for all the channels
* Latest version of Kodi on Google Chromecast with Google TV (HD)
* Latest version of NextPVR Client for Kodi on above

When going to TV in Kodi, then either choosing a channel from the EPG or Channels, there is a delay, then a popup "Playback failed, One or more items failed to play.  Check the log for more information about this message."

I have tried many other channels from EPG and Channels and same message.  The actual WinTV-dualHD tuner LED shows the signal is strong.  There seems to be a streaming issue.

First you can't use the web player with atsc signals on a RPi it won't work and it doesn't support vaapi

I suspect the problem is when you changed the recording folder to /mnt/recordings and it is a permission issue. Maybe try using /tmp to confirm things work the figure out how to use Linux permissions

I set the recording and TV buffer to /tmp and get the same error.

I think Martin is correct. It doesn't look like it is able to create a file in /mnt/recordings/

After the change to /tmp I don't think it is locking a signal. I suggest restarting the service to reinitiate the tuners

I mounted a record 1g drive at /mnt/NextPVR and changed the permissions to that mount with chown and chmod. It works now. I flipped through several channels and they come in fine. I appreciate everyone's patience and help.

I also did have to reboot the raspberry pi and I powered off/on the tuner stick.
