NPVR Client will not set a recording

I have NPVR running on my Windows 8.1 box. I use a laptop that is running Windows 7 that is running NPVR as a client. It connects fine and lets me watch recorded shows and everything seems to work fine. The only thing that I can't seem to do is set something to record. It acts like everything worked fine but doesn't show up in recordings. I have tried from the guide and from search. I have tried quick record, record only this episode, record all episodes... every option that is available to try does not work. I can go to my windows 8 box and it works fine. I can even set a recording from my Raspberry Pi running OpenElec with the official PVR plugin. It even seems to work with Martins X-NEWA add-in. Have I got something setup wrong? I see this error code in my NRecord.log file.

Is the database shared with write permission? Can you delete recordings from the client?

Edit: Reading further in your log I can see that the database is read-only so you need to change the permissions in sharing on the server.

Thanks! That was it. Wasn't sure exactly how to share it properly. I came across this thread.
