Comskip works if I record an analog show, but with HD it doesn't. I read on the comskip site it won't unless you donate. I'm totally willing to donate to comskip if I know for sure it works, anyone else have it up and running?

Thanks!

yes it works
i dont have it working as well as i did with analog but i think that is a issue with bad signal screwing the time line because sometimes it works perfect

I've never had any problem with the free version of comskip running on HD files. There was one version awhile back that didn't seem to work correctly on in-progress recordings, but that's the only problem I recall having with it. The accuracy seems rather poor on some shows, but on many nearly perfect. "Castle" is one where I usually find myself skipping back to catch many seconds or even minutes of show that got cut out, until I give in and hit 999.

It's worth donating anyway to support authors of great apps, but the speed improvements for HD MPEG2 are well worth it. And as stated for my HDPVR's h264 files it is a must.

Running free version 0.81.050
Some newer version crashed during recording, so I went back to 0.81.050 and works fine 98% of the time
