Recently switched to the nfo option in ImageGrablite for shows, but the nfo files do not seem to be deleted when the show is deleted.
Alternatively, this may also be occurring when the show is archived to a different directory, with nfo's left behind?
Is this by design?

You need to add nfo to <DeleteAdditionalExtensions> I know sub added the tvshow.nfo to one of the files that are removed when a folder is "empty" for me but maybe that is not in a delete from archiving.

<DeleteAdditionalExtensions>srt,txt,log,d2a,edl,csv,bat,wme,vprj,logo.txt,dvbsub,sm,nfo</DeleteAdditionalExtensions>

Hmm it's in there but didn't delete. Odd.

Any other thoughts?

Still struggling with this sub. despite nfo on that list. More annoying than anything as lots of unnecessary legacy folders.

Was the file that your deleted called movie.avi/movie.mp4/movie.ts/movies.mkv/etc? Otherwise it wouldn't know to look for 'movie.nfo'

Nope - as per the pic, 10 Cloverfield Lane. I do use

"C:\Program Files (x86)\NPVR\NEWA_AutoSearch.exe" in my PostUpdateEPG and I used to have
"C:\Program Files (x86)\NPVR\imageGrabLite.exe" --oid %3 --nfo

Would that do it? Even if so, why can't they be deleted (as it hogs the directory too)?

I suspect that there is an implicit agreement between you and NextPVR that files that have the same name as the show that is being deleted may also be deleted and that files that have a different name to the show are there for a reason and that it would be rude for NextPVR to delete files that do not have the same name as the show. I'm pretty sure that NextPVR does not create any files in the recording folder that it does not subsequently delete.

It might be that NextPVR is politely suggesting that you should delete these files with names that are different to the name of the show because it is you that created them ... Smile

The iGL -nfo options is not for NextPVR it is for scanning, playing and deleting in Kodi and Plex and other that follow their standards. NextPVR probably doesn't know about movie.nfo (it is where the folder doesn't match the correct name on different versions). I am not even sure where you get folder.jpg since I don't remember creating it in iGL, there isn't much point since Kodi and Plex scanners will get the series/movie images.

NextPVR should be fine with the metadata that iGL creates by default in the mediashow folder.

I also have some movie.nfo files in a few of my my movie directories & I have never had anything but the built in NextPVR metadata collection running on my server.... so somewhere down the line NextPVR added theses files.

I don't think NextPVR creates movie.nfo and it is much more likely that this was part of an file that you downloaded.
