I am loving this release, as there are some things that have really improved the ease of use by the family. Love the new pop-up on the live tv page which only shows available channels on the "all channels" page! I have a few questions about some things happening, and wanted to know if they are on purpose, only with me, or maybe bugs.

1) Filter in recordings:
a) It seems that I only can filter in the Ready Recordings page, and not the What's New page.

b) If a recording goes directly to a Filter Folder through the Directory in the update recording page (say "Kids" instead of the main Folder), it's not showing up in the Filter. Only recordings that I have moved through Files or Archive show up here. Not sure if I need to set an auto archive if I want them to be directly accessed through the Filter during or immediately after recording.

c) Example layout: 2 drives. Drive 1 contains Series, shows that I have multiple seasons recording to catch up on later (Stargate Atlantis and Big Bang Theory for example). Drive 2 contains the main recording directory, with sub-directories of "wife" and "kids". If I select "Series", "wife" or "kids", everything works fine. I was hoping that by selecting the Drive 2 folder, the sub-directories would also show up. This doesn't occur. I just want to filter out those shows that record multiple episodes a day of clogging things up!

2) Conflicts:
a) I LOVE the fact that if an episode isn't recorded at it's first time due to a conflict, it is scheduled for the first available slot. So in this case, if I have a conflict that I don't care to resolve by cancelling something else, it remains in "Conflicts" and can't be deleted without going into the database. Is that right? Should I be resolving these by selecting Cancel on the Resolve page? I remember cancelling individual instances of a series days in advance, but they would come back with the next epg update, and assumed that happened in conflicts too.

b) Any way that when you hit "resolve", if this show is scheduled to record in the future, it can be noted on that pop-up? Currently I have to see what options I have on resolve, then go into find all recordings for all options, and decide from there if I can get all shows.

Thanks again,
Joe

1a) yes, that's the current design. adding filtering to "What's New" would be a wishlist item; however as you can sort the Ready list by Date Descending, so that works pretty well as a What's New list. In fact if I could I'd actually disable the What's New list and just use Ready Recordings.
1b) I've not seen that behavior here, but will see if I can reproduce what you're seeing
1c) I see what you want, but making it work that way might be the exact opposite of what other users would want.

2a & b) what you're describing is not how I thought it was working, so I guess I'll have to check what happens here. during pre-release testing when the conflicts screen was first enabled I found it worked as you described, I had some conflicts that would show up every week even though the exact same episodes had been found and scheduled at a later time; this was pointed out to sub, and sometime before release those regular conflicts stopped showing up so I thought it was fixed.

No problem, the only reason I would want it in "What's New" would be to filter out those multiple recordings each day - I just remembered guideplus or something changing the recording date to the first release date, so maybe I'll look at that for keeping it out of the recent list.

Thanks, restarting didn't change this.

Understood, still love the filter as it works.

Looks like I can delete now - I must have not gotten the patch to take when I tried it yesterday, or I needed a reboot today.

With all that said, it looks like my only issue is 1B, where recordings set to go into the given folder aren't shown in that filter. With that being said, I have the sub-folders inside the main recording folder, so maybe that is confusing it?

Feeling like a dummy here. Most of those questions have been clarified now, either through johnsonx42's responses, or myself going deeper. Just to show where I'm at:

1a) Filter is only in "Ready Recordings," not "What's New." Thanks for the clarification.
1b) Previously scheduled recurring recordings that I edit after creation are not going into the proper folder. If I create a new individual recording with a folder noted, it goes to the proper location and can be filtered properly. Same with new recurring recordings. Not sure why previous ones goofed up for me - could be user error, but I'll just rebuild my list of way too many.
1c) Filter works as I wanted - you can have a filter called "Recording," sub-filters called "X" & "Y", and if you select "Recording," shows under "X" & "Y" show up. I goofed up my original location, hence sub-filters not showing.
2a1) Conflicts can be deleted with the patch in the "Current Patches" post. I must not have patched the file properly / rebooted / etc.
2a2) Uncertain on resolving a conflict by deleting and it coming back; I have none left in the next 4 days to test, could work properly either with the base file or the patch.
2b) Additional information upon hitting resolve is a wishlist item, and I'll post there possibly at some point.
