No Video with First Install

Hi, just joined the forum, and this is my first post.

I was recommended NextPVR by a subscriber to the AVForum, and have installed it successfully. So far I like what I see as far as the GUI and features are concerned, but having set up my Device (ATI Theatre DVB-T USB dongle) and scanned for all the channels OK, I cannot see any video when watching Live TV. I can hear the channels OK, just not see them, and everything else seems to work fine (although I haven't tried a record yet); and the EPG is populated correctly.

I have checked the FAQs and downloaded a new DLL for the DVB-T device called Unmanaged.DLL (date-stamp 10/05/2014) and copied it to the c:\program files\nextpvr folder, but no change. The video card I am using on the PC is an ATI Radeon HD 9600 with a ViewSonic 23" monitor, and the PC has an Intel 6600 CPU with 3Gb memory.

Can you help me with the display?

Live TV is not the best way to check the system as you are using both the Record and Playback system together. Best to make a recording and make sure it is not zero bytes and play it back in something like VLC. If that works then it will be the playback side which is the problem almost certainly a lack of a video decoder. With a DVB-T tuner you will be receiving Freeview so you will need a MPEG1 audio decoder and MPEG2 video decoder which you are probably missing.

I agree that it almost certainly a decoder issue. I use SAF. Send a forum private message to Hoborg to get the unlocked version ... http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post414049

Thanks for your help guys, will test a recording but in the meantime I've PM'd Hoborg for the SAF6 unlocked as you suggest.
