Hi All!

Help please, I searched and searched and I could not find an answer in this forum.

I have to change the PATH in the TV Listings plug-in to point to my Server on the network.

The TV Listings plug-in is *NOT* letting me change/save these settings.

Please see attached photos ...

This is the location of NPVR files on the Win 8.1 Pro client :

C:\Users\Public\NPVR

The C:\Users\Public\NPVR folder is "owned" by Administrators (Me)

The C:\Users\Public folder is "owned" by SYSTEM (Windows)

These are the DEFAULT settings that the TV Listings plug-in setup,
when I installed it on the Win 8.1 Pro client:

Image Directory:

C:\Users\Public\NPVR\\Media\Shows

TVDB Data Directory:

C:\Users\Public\NPVR\\Plugins\TV Listings\TheTVDB

I need to CHANGE these settings TO (-> POINT to my Server):

\\Ds-p45-wrk-03\npvr\Media\Shows

\\Ds-p45-wrk-03\npvr\\Plugins\TV Listings\TheTVDB

How do I make TV Listings plug-in SAVE the new settings?

BTW, What is this file? CONFIG-MASTER-DONT-EDIT.xml
(The DATA PATH is set to "hushpc" in this file. This is the wrong path for my server.)

Thanks!

The config_master_dont_edit is a backup "clean" file. Your info is in config.xml where you should see the server name you entered in Settings. I can't help with your other questions, sorry.

Looks like you're running NextPVR as a client, and the database share on your server is set to read-only, so it's unable to update the database.

Thanks, sub ... I will see if I can remove the "read only" attribute from the NPVR folder on the server.

It's probably the share permissions rather than the attributes.

Yep sub, It was the NPVR folder SHARE permissions on the Xp Pro server.

The NPVR folder share was set to EVERYBODY [*read only]

I added ADMINISTRATORS [*full control] and that solved the problem!

Funny, I could *NOT* change the attribute at the command prompt from READ ONLY to SYSTEM, Windows wouldn't let me.
( attrib -r +s "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\NPVR" )

Thanks for all your help!
