Change remote control behaviour

I have a generic mce remote control ( auvisio ). I am not fully happy with the keymapping. Is there a way to configure this ? (for example one button to stop the current task (default 'stop' button) and return to the main menu ( default 'clear' button ), or configure the 'play' button to start a video or recorded program (default 'OK' button)

The built in MCE remote support isn't configurable. You can disable the default handling of MCE remote in NextPVR though, allowing you to use other apps that handle MCE remotes, like IRSS, HIP, EventGhost. These would allow you to send whatever keystrokes you want to NextPVR when the user presses a button on the remote.

You can find info on NextPVR keyboard controls and some other info on window commands on the wiki. I think it also has some info about HIP etc.

I've never used any of those utilities though, so can't provide you any advice on how to set them up.
