An error occurred [when setting up a recording]

I'm not using the web interface any more just the standard(?) xnewa. All fine until I tried to schedule a recording. Hitting the save button, or just trying a quick record results in a pop up "an error occurred".
Trying to record a future doctor who just before 9.30. This is the most relevant thing I can see in the xbmc logs

PS the client in question is 192.168.8.6 I'm not entirely sure why there's calls from 192.168.8.4 in the npvr web logs.

I am really confused by your log. It is only supposed to fetch this once and it is doing it lots

You don't have debug logs on XBMC to capture the keystrokes, are you sure your remote isn't going nuts on the enter key in the XNEWA python code too?

Heres an xbmc debug recreating the problem (see around 7.07am) I can't see anything obviously wrong with the key strokes.

Open xnewa -> search -> doctor -> scroll oct 18th -> try and set up series record [fail] ->try and set up quick record [fail] - exit

Can you edit XNEWA_Connect.py at line 1243 to add or type=='P'

and if so, does that help? That is what I have in the code here but it is a change for the next version it is falling over to the SOAP code but I see that is failing at your end too.

I can probably figure out how to edit it (famous last words), but can you let me know where the file is stored.

So I'm running 2.4.5 now (think it was 2.4.3 at the start of the thread) and it seems to work so far!
